Corporate Social Responsibility Program
The Churchill Corporation is a leader in institutional and industrial construction and maintenance related services in Canada. As a successful organization, we seek to ensure that all of our stakeholders are heard and that we support them consistent with Corporation’s vision, mission and core values. We understand that our long-term future success depends upon protecting our reputation, enhancing employee morale, delivering a fair return to our shareholders. Therefore Churchill is dedicated to listening to the demands and concerns of our various stakeholders, while respecting and working to improve the communities and environment in which we operate. To this end we have brought together a series of operating principles under the broad heading of Corporate Social Responsibility to serve as a guide to employees and directors in all aspects of their work for the company.
At The Churchill Corporation, we define Corporate Social Responsibility as follows:
- Conducting business in a socially responsible and ethical manner;
- Protecting the environment, health and safety of people;
- Respecting the individual;
- Engaging, learning from, and supporting the communities and cultures with which we work; and
- Supporting and encouraging our employees to give back to their communities.
This program applies to activities undertaken by or on behalf of The Churchill Corporation and its controlled subsidiaries or affiliates.
All Churchill employees and contractors are expected to adopt the Corporate Social Responsibility considerations described in this policy into their day-to-day work activities. Churchill leaders will act as role models by incorporating those considerations into decision-making in all business activities. Churchill’s leaders will ensure that appropriate organizational structures are in place to effectively identify, monitor and support Corporate Social Responsibility issues and performance relevant to our businesses.
